Manuscript Formatting Requirements

ENTRANT’S NAME, ADDRESS, PSEUDONYM, ETC. MUST NOT APPEAR ON THE ENTRY.

Entry must be comprised of the first 6,000 (maximum) words per manuscript, including Prologue (if applicable) as a Word Doc. or Docx. file.

Standard Manuscript Format:

    ♥    12 point, Times New Roman font only

    ♥     Double Spaced

    ♥     1 inch (1″) margins (top, bottom, and sides of each page)

    ♥     1/2 inch indentation from left margin is required for each new paragraph

    ♥     Header MUST include document title (story title), category, and page number;  should begin 1/2 inch (.5″) down from top of page

    ♥     Prologue and chapter headings should start 6 double spaces below the header

    ♥     Each chapter should start on a new page

    ♥     Submission must end with a full sentence and not exceed the 6,000 maximum word count
